Applications are now open for Torbay’s inaugural Business Games, which will give organisations from across the bay the opportunity to compete head-to-head in a range of exciting, team-driven activities.
The Bigwave Business Games, named after Bigwave media – the marketing agency responsible for running the Games – are due to kickstart with the launch event on February 20th. Then in April and May employees will have the chance to battle it out in five light-hearted challenges, with events like bowling, mini golf and a pub quiz.
Held in association with the Torbay Business Forum, The Bigwave Business Games will provide organisations with an unparalleled opportunity to network with local businesses, improve staff morale, raise money for local charity and boost their profile across the region. Furthermore, the events, which are largely active in nature, will support organisations in their commitment to encourage a healthy workforce.
The Bigwave Business Games originated in Exeter and are now in their 10th year. They have continued to be an annual staple for organisations across the city, with many getting involved year after year. Much like the Exeter Games, the inaugural Torbay Games will be comprised of a mixture of mental and physical challenges. They will be open to all employees, regardless of ability.
Debbi Moore, Principle Organiser of the games and Head of Client Experience at Bigwave media said:
“The Games have gained popularity over the years and we look forward to bringing them to Torbay.
After such great success in Exeter, it’s brilliant that we can expand this fantastic event across the south west. The 2019 Games promise to be a fantastic experience, offering a mixed bag of fun events in the bay while raising money for worthwhile local charities.”
